The city on the coast at the far right end of MA is Salisbury.

Sorry but Salisbury Beach is NOT a seperate town.

Above list from official Massachusetts state (commonwealth) Web site.

And it is NOT a hole in the off season. Ever been to cristy's Pizza? Joe's Playland?
Best Pizza ever.

These places are open year round. Cristy's everyday.

Very peaceful in the off season. You drive up an park with no problem (and without feeding the meter) alon the shore.

Hank:

Let's not split hairs, I don not believe the question was specific to a city or town, although it did say "city", many people do not sistingish the difference between the too, and I feel that is what the question was intended on saying.

Salisbury. But the closest CITY to Salisbury is Newburyport. And Salisbury Beach is part of the town of Salisbury.

The above answers are not correct. Salisbury is a town, not a city. The closest city is Newburyport.

Salisbury... close but it looks like Salisbury Beach is listed as a separate city, so it's Salisbury Beach, MA.

It is a complete hole in the closed season.

Well, I guess it would be Salisbury, because that's also right before you leave the MA state border. I drive up that coast line a lot, but mostly in the summer.
