Well, it's like the ancient Roman philosophy for controlling the population: Give them free bread and circuses.
We are fed a stream of "controversial" crap to keep real issues out of the minds of the masses. Turn it off, stop googling them, and they will go away. A tremendous amount of demographic data is available from what we search for on the internet.
However, peabrains will always care what they're doing, at least until they grow up and get a life, if they ever do.

The News agencies completely dumb down to the public and broadcast celebrity news for the benefit of the double digit IQ public. Rarely do we actually cast a news story worthy of anyone with half a brain. It is all about ratings. Write the News Agencies and tell them you would want more stories for IQ levels over 100. Not the mindless dribble and politically correct stories we get bombarded with on a daily basis. Sometimes Shows like the Daily Show or the Colbert Repor(t) have more Journalistic Integrity then ABC/CBS/NBC/FOX/CNN Combined. I like looking up Britney's skirt as much as the next man but if I want to find that story let me look it up for myself. I would rather the "NEWS AGENCY'S" report on REAL NEWS for those with an above average intellect and not dumb down the story. Also tell the story with out political spin. If a Terrorist Kills 38 children at a Baskin Robbins birthday party tell it like it is not that BUSH ate a pulled pork sandwich therefore Al-Middle Ages Mohamed blew up the kiddy party because it was GW's fault for eating pork.

No, they are all just drama queens. In Britney's case, she's a washed up has been who is desperate for attention.. ANY attention. Lindsey is a spoiled brat and will lose her lively-hood soon if she doesn't straighten up. No one wants to hire a brat to work. Paris and Nicole are just plain pathetic. neither of them are really famous in their own right. Paris lives off her famous last name and she's stupid to boot. Nicole isn't as bad, but that girl needs to start eating or she'll blow away soon. It seems tome that each of these girls got away with murder growing up.. it's past time that their parents grew backbones and lay down the law.

When they have stopped being economically viable for media like People Magazine and Entertainment Tonight, then there will be no more news stories about them. If no one bought magazines or watched TV shows featuring them, then they wouldn't be on. Unfortunately, there's no sign that's ever going to happen any time soon. Anorexic party girls somehow sell!

Stop watching programs on the cable channels that cover them.
Refuse to buy their records, DVDs or endorsed products.
Patronize artists that demonstrate values that you prefer.
Don't watch TV shows that feature them.
Send them underwear.

its really sad that these women are constantly put in the news and people really care about what they have to say or do...the best thing to do is not watch them, besides that there isnt much else to do
