I don't think that you mean what you have asked. :-)

To answer your question literally - yes, of course. MP3 files contain information and anyone can put there whatever they want - including a keylogger.

But I think you meant to ask - can anyone construct an MP3 file in such a way, that when you play the music in it, it installs a keylogger on your computer? The answer to *that* question is - it depends on the MP3 player you are using.

Some old versions of some MP3 players have vulnerabilities (usually - buffer overflows) that can be exploited by specially crafted MP3 files. There might be unknown such vulnerabilities in other MP3 players and versions, too.

Yes...but there's two things to note. First, if the mp3 is a keylogger, you would have to explicitly have the computer run the file. On windows, you would need to change the extension from mp3 to exe.

The second is you would know the mp3 is a bad file because you won't be able to play it or you wouldn't get music out of it.

How are things with you?:
Usually, the features of a keylogger include: logging keystroke, recording website history, taking screenshot and monitoring chat conversions. I have searched in Google and found some info for you.
Trustworthy keylogger such as Micro Keylogger tracks activities like keystrokes typed, websites visited and the screenshots of desktop. It also sends log reports to your email/FTP. Besides, it's safe, invisible and also easy to use.
