DECIMAL TO FRACTION
eg.
0.45
This is the same as
45
100
But we can now simplify this- make the numbers smaller by doing the same to the top and the bottom.
so
45 ( / 5 ) = 9
100 ( / 5 ) = 20
1 rule when simplifying fractions is that you cannot come out with decimals.
eg.
45 ( / 6 ) = 7.5
100 ( / 6 ) = 16.666...
so
9 is in it's simplest form, as both numbers can't be divided
20 by the same number without one of the numbers . becoming a decimal.
FRACTION TO DECIMAL
eg.
9 To find the decimal equivalent, simply divide top by bottom
20
9 / 20 = 0.45

Fraction to Decimal: divide numerator by denomenator example: 3/4 = 3 divided by 4 = 0.75 fraction to percentage: divide numerator by denominator then multiply by 100 example: 1/2 = 1 divided by 2 = 0.5 x 100 = 50% Decimal to fraction: move decimal point 2 places to the right then put 100 as its denominator example: 0.25 = 25/100 (or 1/4 in smallest terms) Hope this helps.

3/4 of 1, for example, you divide 100 by the denomenator, 4, which = 25, you then multiply that by the numorator, 3, 25x3=75, move the decimal 2 spaces to the right, 75.(begining) 7.5(1 spae over) .75(2 spaces over)!!
now,to change a decimal-fraction, lets say .75 for simplicity, move the decimal 2 spaces to the left, 75, then 100-75, cuz you want to know the difference of the to, 100-75=25, 100 divided by 25= 4, 75 divided by 25=3, 3/4 ( = i hope that helped and it works!! ( = gl

to change a fraction to a decimal you just have to divide. example: 3/4 3 divided by 4 and when you get your answer .75 you move the decimal over to the right two times.
