Because the record companies have this huge money machine that get the stupid tune stuck in your head to the point that you're humming it out loud, THEN you have to buy the damned song even though you hated it not ten minutes ago.

Well everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However it is no different the the rock & roll that the parents of the 70's hated. Or let's see here, The Twist was not liked among parents either. Or Elvis and his "dirty" dancing. Every generation of parents have seemed to of had a problem with their childrens music. It's just another era, another fad, another style and a different way for the artist to express themselves. I am sure our kids will gripe about their childrens music. I wonder how it could get worse. But then again so did my grandmother. So my point is this is nothing new to society. The times have changed so why wouldn't the music. Music is how people relate to the artist. Artists sing/rap about their life, their experiences, their wants and needs. Not many kids these days want to do the twist as they can't relate. I hope you understand what I'm saying. This has always been a gripe of parents. Good Luck & God Bless!

It only seems that way because the sickest artists are the ones that get commercailized the most. Theres a lot of money-making, non-sick music out there, but people don't tell their freinds about it because they are afraid of peer-pressure.

there is no sick music, only sick christian fundaMENTALists who twist lyrics and spend hours of their worthless lives listening to songs backwards. Christian music doesn't make it in the industry because it sucks. It's sickening and would make me more likely to put a bullet in myself or some unsuspecting stranger than any Ozzy song ever would

Just like sick or controversial TV is making money, people want to hear or see what pushes the envelope. Or maybe some people are just sick.

music is really bad these last 10-15 years....most everything out there stinks except for some jazz, some R&B, some rock....some of this, of that....but most of it is bad and therefore whatever does sell is 'sick' as you say.
