I am an Anarchist myself, i respect everyones beliefs. I have no problem sitting down and discussing my beliefs with others as well as listening to there ideals and beliefs. What I guess I am really getting at is the slandering and blaming the oposition for things being messed up. I just dont understand why people must force there ideals on to others.

In recent years, Democrats have moved to a far left while Republicans shifted far to the right. Most Americans have moderate beliefs, not the extreme beliefs that are represented by both parties today.

The problem is, our "working class" are now being burdened with poverty, high health care costs, unaffordable educations...etc. The working populace no longer has a voice (we just bust our butts day in and day out to make a living) and rich people on the far right and left in the government don't care. Eventually, the moderate working class will need to rise up and take back the government or risk losing our entire society and economy to the rich elitists and corporatation.

Sure, everyone is entitled to their own beliefs.
It's when they try to make everyone else abide by their beliefs by legislating them that we have problems. And it's when a "belief" is flat-out wrong, or demonstrably bad for the country, that action must be taken to prevent "belief" from becoming law.

Look, the idea of national parties that do NOT agree on a lot of issues is fundamental to our system of government. It's the constant pushing from different perspectives that is supposed to result in compromises between various viewpoints that work well for the country. Problems arise when EITHER party refuses to work with or compromise with the other party, not when they argue and squabble over the best way to do things. Embrace honest and open debate and the compromises they bring -- it's what makes this country great!

Why would you just aim this question at Democrats and Republicans? Doesn't everyone who believes in something do a certain amount of proselytizing? Of course, we all have the right to our own beliefs--but politicians try to be elected by the public, so they have to allow their views to be seen and heard. Would you want to vote for someone if you had no idea how he/she felt about the problems in the world today????
(Hey! Now that's an idea: we could just run anyone for office, with no statements of any kind, no party affiliation mentioned, no platform....just kind of throw names in the air and see how they land. Once elected, they could all try to run their own agendas....Probably couldn't make things much worse.)
Seriously, though, this was a very naive question. If someone wants their idea or solution to appeal to others, she/he must try to show why the ideas used in the past were "wrong" (ie. "blaming each other".)
And I reserve the right to tell ANYONE--other than God--that he/she is wrong, wrong, wrong! (Or right, if the case may be....) If you don't like it, quit telling me how to behave and quit reading Yahoo!Answers' in the Politics category.

If Obama pulls the same $hit as Bush, then a deal. in any different case I gave Bush a raffle while he became into elected as did maximum of u.s., for this reason a ninety% approval score after 9-11. yet he lied, cheated and made a mockery of the White domicile and the form. Bush earned the detest and disdain he merits.

I believe one side tries to push their ideas on the other side for many reasons. One reason is because they are so closed minded that if they entertain someone else's idea for a split second they feel they just might lose their identity which is insecurity big time. One other reason could be that they are so stubborn no idea is as good as their own....again insecurity. And then the righteous, who can talk over them?
I feel a great debate between all sides allows us all to learn, grow and expand our minds.

Well, you see democrats holds up a Good Economy and also they archieve their goals as they want it. So, far as i know, they also don't expend on dumb researches like, the Republicans did on the past 8 years.
So i made my choice to vote on Democrat and see where it will go on this time.

I would hope that most people are driven by the passion of their beliefs rather than hatred for the other party. on yahoo, you will see both.

It is not about having the right, because they don't. They still do it anyway. They try do do that which they believe in because they believe in dominance and force. By standing up for ourselves and telling them that they do not have the right to push others around they accuse us of robbing them of their freedoms and jamming our way of life down their throat. Since our nation is built around the idea of equality their claim is faulty since them getting their way is about dominance and hierarchy.

under democracy one party always devotes its chief energies to trying to prove that the other party is unfit to rule--and both commonly succeed, and are right.

I guess, because they are in power right now, they think they have the right. That's why we seriously need to open our ballot access laws to allow more people to vote for whom they truly want to vote.
