She agreed on this and the divorce is final.I make her pay no support and cover ALL expenses for our child. She has standard visitation rights in Texas, however she is allowed to have our child often by me. All for the good of our child. About to finalize qrdo on 401k and she will get a great deal of money. Would a Judge change the decree and custody arrangements? She is bitter that she gets no support.

You need a lawyer in your state to answer this question completely, but in most states a judge will consider the best interests of the child over anything else.

Agreements between parties over child support can be overturned very very easy. Once a custody schedule is in place and working it can be harder to overturn. There are many items that will be looked at when making that decision.

Again I strongly advise that you get an actual lawyer right away. Whatever the cost you might pay now is nothing to the turmoil you could go through later. Defiantly talk to a lawyer and get a feel for them before you pay a dime though.

Unfortunately yes, she could petition the court for a remodification of child custody and/or support hearing at anytime. These are the only two areas one can take an ex back to court after the final decree. The good thing is she has to have concrete proof showing you an unfit father. She would have to have police reports or medicalreports of child abuse or drug/mental charges against you for her to win so if neither of these exists then you have nothing to worry about.

Does she have a job? Does she co habitat?
If you are going to court only for 401 that should have nothing to do with custody and support.
If she pushes it she may end up paying you, and for support for her I can say here in Ca if you are cohabitation you get nothing.
Good Job to you for caring cuz in my divorce the father left state an has hardly ever talked or seen the kids. Have a blessed holiday

Unless your ex has filed for a modification of custody and support, the judge will not rule on it. She cna be as bitter as she wants, but she has to file if she wants a change. Good luck!

she shouldn't get any support if you have physical custody of the kid....you should be getting support from her...if she keeps getting bitter and threatening, tell her you'll take her back to court and make her pay the support..otherwise, back off.

she can always go back and have the custody and support issue revisited.. Don't rest too comfortably on your laurels.... This could blindside you at the drop of a hat
