No. My mother,grand-mother and friend had bell's palsy. It did return to normal for them.Bell's palsy is an inflammation around the 7th cranial nerve. This blockage may result from hemorrhage, tumor, meningitis or local trauma. Did your Dr. prescribe steroids? Some people believe steroids do not really help.(Natural Remedy book) Physical therapy? Massages?Do you have jaw pain? All inflammation is caused by the bodies reaction to a real or perceived injury, infection,or allergy. Why it has occurred every 8 years is maybe something you can determine. Have you been under excessive stress at these times? You could maybe write down occurrences that happened during those time frames.(Example, places where you lived, good or bad stresses...) Surgery can be done if the muscle does not correct itself. Vitamin C helps with inflammation as long as you are not on any blood thinning medicines. (2000 mg 3 times a day) and B-Complex vitamins(as directed on label) will help support the nervous system. Keep face from extreme cold.(Wear a scarf in winter weather)It may aggregate condition.

Bell's palsy weakens or paralyzes the muscular tissues on one edge of the face. while some thing is paralyzed, it could not pass, so 0.5 of the guy's face might seem stiff or droopy. The paralysis does not final continuously, yet somebody who has it could have difficulty shifting one edge of his or her face. Bell's palsy can advance over a rely of days. because of the fact it could happen without notice, somebody might think of the subject is a stroke - while a blood vessel interior the concepts gets clogged or bursts. Like Bell's palsy, a stroke can paralyze a guy or woman's face. yet Bell's palsy is led to by using nerve difficulty and is not as extreme as a stroke. Bell's palsy may well be frightening, whether it often does not final long and is going away with out scientific care.

I've had it once and everything returned to normal afterwards. If it doesn't I would suggest that you go to a Neurologist just to get things checked out. I know that if you've had it before then your chances of having it again increase, but talking to an expert could decrease your chances of lasting effects.

I have never had it. This is actually the first time that I have ever heard of it. My advice however would be to do some extensive research on it. Have you spoken with more than one medical advisor about it? What about looking online (webmd, etc.)?

my mom had it twice, each time she was pregnant. I'm 30 now and she hasn't had it since she had me. She has a droopy eye now when she's really tired, but other than that she's fine. I bet you've outgrown it.
