She will usually have her fry around 34 days of prenancy!! If you have her in the bredding tank that the middle piece lifts up make sure you put a little piece of plant in that bottom part so that the fry will go down to and hide in sometimes they will just hang around at the top and she will eat them. If the piece of plant lifts the trap up just sprinkle a little bit of aquarium rock over the top so that the trap will stay down. When she is finished having the fry( about an hour) take her out and remove the middle trap piece that way you can see them better and they have more room!! You can buy fry food specially made for your new babies and feed them once everyday, you will see that they grow very fast!! After about 1 month, if they are big enough you can let them go with your other fish just make sure that they are big enough so that the older fish cannot eat them!!! I hope I have helped you a little. We have been breeding swordtails and mollies for about 5 years and its a very fun and rewarding way to have your own fish!! Have fun!! P.S. If you watch her closely her rear end part will become very black, that is the babies and the more "square" she looks (if you look at her from behind) the closer she is to having babies!! Its is very exciting to actually watch the birth!!

Don't leave her in the breeding net unless you know she will give birth very soon (within a day). It is very stressful for her to be in such a small area, and she needs to swim.
You will notice signs when she is about to give birth. First, her belly will be almost square. She may also stop eating. And she will swim erratically up and down or into a corner of the tank.

Release her until she is about to give birth. If she does in the tank, you can easily catch the babies with a fish tank. Just provide moss / plants for them to hide in.

When did she last have babies, do you know? They have them about every 28-30 days.

Swordtails are usually pregnant for about 28 days. Just keep her in a breeding net untill you releases all her fry then take her out.

As long as the mom cannot get to them. Make sure you have the moss so they can hide -- they will automatically seek somewhere to hide. The other adults WILL be waiting for them to emerge, so best of luck.
