the microphones seem to go out numerous times during the game. Especially John Madden's -- he starts rambling on and then suddenly all you can hear is him faintly mumbling in the background. That's too funny...seems like they would have fixed that by now.

Yea, I noticed it last night too. I thought something was wrong with the cable but realized it was the broadcast. My favorite part last night was it was very easy to hear Madden complain about the ref not wanting to measure with the chains because the ref could tell they needed 3 inches. He kept on and on until Al Michaels could find out the answer durnig the next commercial.

Perhaps it is no accident. Many times I use a similar tactic to drown out Madden's rants. I call it the mute button (I didn't invent that name it says it right on the remote). Madden is a blow hard and pretty much ruins most broadcasts he is on in my opinion.

I noticed it as well. I have one more thing about that though, whenever Madden talked about Reggie Bush, he used his whole name, not just Reggie, or Bush. Did anyone notice that?
