i say yes because there would slow and talentless runningbacks, wideouts, no mikey vickerson type quarterbacks, and no good basketball games.

Sports would still be sports no matter what. There was a time when it was only whites in all professional sports and it didn't suck. It wasn't fair and it wasn't the best pool of talent available but it was still competitive and enjoyable to watch, I suppose. I think the question was probably not asked in all seriousness and why was it asked in the first place is probably a better question. I hope this question does not open up a forum for racist to vent their phobias and bigotry.

Overall, yes. Wherever African Americans have excelled in sports our interest has seemed to peak. What would basketball be without Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and just about all of the other greats? What would football be without Gale Sayers, Barry Sanders, or Jerry Rice? African Americans have raised the playing level in most sports and have in turn made it more fun to watch.

no, because competition is competition. The overall level of play would be lower, but as long as the teams are equal, it would still be compelling.

The only reason the WNBA sucks is because we compare it to the athleticism of the NBA.

But women's tennis is better than men's because there is more back and forth, and serving counts for less. That, and the short skirts.

There is no doubt that African Americans has raised the level of many sports, but these sports were compelling before they played. The sad part is that we knew the people playing sports were not the best, and yet we continued to exclude them.

Any avenue of life sucks if you exclude people because of race. Sports is not exempt. The race angle was injected only to allow bigotted persons a forum they don't deserve, my point is ASK A REAL QUESTION?

No -- because we wouldn't know what we were missing -- it'd still be football. And people would be raving about how fast Matt Jones and Tim Dwight are.
