what can i feed him now to absorb the onion? i cant bring him to a vet its an hour drive away and also hes not my dog and my bf isnt here. the dog isnt displaying any signs of sickness yet but i fed him burger king onion rings about 10-15 of them, not knowing they were toxic to dogs....what should i do????

I've heard from vets that onions can cause liver damage and even liver failure. Depending on the dog and how its body processes it. I would call the vet... let them know what happened and go from there. His dog more than likely will be fine but just dont ever give a dog anything other than dog food or dog treats...

Monitor the dog for a day or two. BK onion rings don't have much left to them so he probably didn't ingest much of the toxins (most of it would be cooked out). His system will probably be able to handle what he did eat, and dogs will usually vomit up anything that is especially noxious, as say, raw onions would be. If he didn't do that, then that's a good sign.
Just keep an eye on him but if he's not showing signs of sickness, he'll probably be fine. If problems do arise from any type of poisoning they will probably surface within a day and if they do he will need a vet's attention pronto.

Dogs don't die by ingesting oil from 10-15 onion rings unless it drank 1 liter of it. Onions are toxic when in its raw form, so as garlic. Tell your bf what happened so he can act quickly and not blame you later in case something wrong happened. Good luck.

Unless it is dog food - don't give it to them. Call you bf now and tell him what you did. Leave it up to him as to whether YOU should take him to the vet and be responsible for the bill. I think the onion rings will be tooooo greasy to cause death, will probably go right through him.

ok now, read carefully.
Take him to some clean grass and let him eat it. Dogs naturally eat grass when they feel bad to make them self sick.
When he's been sick just make sure he has some water, not hot but not cold.
