I just had my baby boy two months ago. I now really want to try for a baby girl and I had my period about a week ago. Is it alright to try this soon after. Plus how can I talk my husband into it? He says he wants to wait atleast a year since we just had our first son but I REALLY want to try for another..what should I do,and if he agrees on having another one is it safe to?

wow you sound like you are so dissappointed that u had a boy your just ready to shove him off to the side and try again....really you are supposed to wait 6 weeks to even have sex and a year before having a baby agian...it takes that long for your body to get healthy and all the levels back to normal. Take the time with your new born ENJOY HIM. It can effect how healthy the baby is and weight problems (talking from experience) my hubbys mom got preggo right after and he only weighed 6pds 1 oz at full term. She didnt smoke or drink it is just the hardest thing on the human body.
Quite being selfish over wanting a girl...what happens when you try again and get another boy?

Just a thought..enjoy your little boy for a while before jumping into this. It's just too soon. Just sit back and enjoy the quiet time you have with him. Before you know it he'll be grown and gone. Little boys are so sweet..enjoy him! I have a girl and two boys. I wouldn't have another for fear I'd have another girl! Not to mention, what if you have another boy? It sounds like you're not terribly happy with having the first one, how will you feel if you have another? Then what? And how does it make those little boys feel in the end?
From a medical standpoint, let your body heal. Use this time to nurse your new baby and bond with him. The stress of being pregnant will just take away from that. I'm all for having kids close together but not THIS close together..wait a year..things change SO much in a year! Best of luck and happy holidays!

its certainly not recomended. People often to have irish twins, so to speak, but its not intentional.

It takes atleast a year (usually two if breast feeding) for your body to get itself back up to optimal heal and nutritional levels after a pregnancy.

The baby will take anything it needs from your body, regardless of whether or not you eat it, or take it in a vitamin. This often doesnt leave enough for your own body to repair and keep itself healthy.

Besides that the stress of having a child on your marriage is quite a large amount, adding two very small very demanding children to that is extremely hard.

Theres nothing that you'd gain from getting pregnant again, and nthing your marriage or children would benefit from being this close together, as opposed to waiting even a year or better.

You should wait, but no one can tell you what to do for yourself.

Most Dr's say to wait at least 3 months before trying again.

Just tell your husband how bad you want another and see what he says. Not much other you can do then that.

Some people get preggo before the "3 months" right after giving birth so yes it would be fine just not recommended!

it could rely to whom you're telling it to. i cannot relate to golfing nor lamaze so... it's all clean for me must must take a look at telling this shaggy dog story to people who had attended lamaze and who're consistent golfers... bettre if they've a humorousness too
