I recently started a new job I just turned 20 and the position is a really good one. The only problem is I'm afraid of my boss He's a pervert. Once when I was trying to fix my computer he put his hand up my shirt It was really uncomfortable Whenever he trains me on something new he always pulls his chair close so that we're practically nose to nose. He even pulled my skirt up once and then pulled it down. I was so shocked he did that but I'm afraid to tell anyone because I really, really love my job. All my supervisors are male and they all hang out together so I'm even more afraid to tell them. I've stopped wearing skirts to work. Everyone keeps asking what's wrong because I used to dress so cute and now all I wear is pants and I always keep my jacket on. I don't know what's wrong with me, everyone keeps asking if I'm okay and their concern makes me want to cry. I feel so disgusting whenever I see him. He always pretends like nothing's wrong so I do the same.

I don't want to become a spectacle, I just want it to be over with. As disgusting and manipulative as he is I don't want his money. It definitely won't make me feel any better. But I'm afraid I'll have to tell because he might try to do it to someone else.

That is sexual harrassment. Plain and simple. It actually borders on sexual assault, especially if he knowingly put his hand in your shirt or up your skirt.

You need to stop this immediately. You are a victim, and should not be ashamed to advise your boss that you his actions are making you uncomfortable, and that you would like him to be aware that you feel he is guilty of sexual harassment. If he has a boss, you should bring it to their attention. You may want to put this in writing and date it so it becomes a matter of public record.

It is better if you have other witnesses to these molestations, so that if he does try to dismiss or fire you, that you then have justification for a lawsuit. But regardless, do not let it go on!

If others are asking out of concern, then they have seen a visible change in your demeanour and your emotional state. Hopefully, they are asking out of concern and would support you if you did have to bring this to court.

I'm shocked! I'm a boss and would never behave like that. It is NOT normal and HE is in the wrong. You are going to have to face the problem at some point, though I appreciate your concerns over your job. Ideally, if the company is large enough, they should have a personnel liaison officer, and you should speak to them. Alternatively, if you have a boyfriend, bring him along, let your boss see you meeting your boyfriend after work. Or just ask your biggest, meanest, friend to stand as your BF. These are all alternatives to the more satisfying alternative of turning round when he tries something on, kicking him hard in the balls and shouting "take your hand out of my shirt (or skirt)!". Good luck, and remember - he is the problem, not you!

Sweetie pie, there is NO NO NO job in the world that's great enough to deal with that kind of BS. Go to human resources and report the creep. What he's doing is against the law.

I promise you, you can get a job like this somewhere else. And it will be even better, because you won't have some perv pawing you all day long.

you can either deal with it and keep the job, which I would not recommend, or you can get some evidence like a tape recording or a witness and report him. Here's the thing, you will NOT lose your job for reporting him but the work environment after such an incident will probably not be too good. On the brighter side it seems like you will take a big settlement from the company and might not have to work for a while...good luck, you'll need it.

Is the way you're feeling really worth it? No amount of money is good enough if you're not happy, especially if you're scared. Do you want to feel like this for the next 20 years? Either tell someone or quit, but this situation will end up with you having health problems because of the stress that it brings. It's just going to get worse....

Yong lady, it is hard to tell on your boss, but if he is doing it to you , there is a good chance he is , or has done this before, and no one reported him. As an ex- executive myself, I would have investigated the allegations, and depending how the facts played out, would probably fire that person. You probably feel no one understands your fear of retribution by fellow employees. To this I say ; You are the only one to put a stop to this! Please tell someone of higher authority, and document when , and where the situation happened. My advice is to make him understand you DON'T like it! And if it happens again you will go to the top ! GOOD LUCK!

Tell on him as quickly as possible! What he is doing is against the law and you deserve to be treated with respect. He will be the one that gets in trouble, not you. Good Luck to you.

As a matter of fact, you could sue that pervert for so much money that you may not even have to worry about working anymore.

You must be joking right??? Because you got a classsic sexual harrassment case. Your boss should be immediately terminated and put in jail , and that's NO JOKE. OKay I will say this for your benifit, start a diary of when the incident happened and obtain aa attorney to consult your case, as well as getting ahold of human resources at your job if they have one. Because without a diary of time and day and names, it's going to be just your word against their's. IF YOU ARE HERE IN AMERICA THEN YOU ARE BEING SERIOUSLEY VIOLATED. What your supervisor did or is doing is AGAINST THE LAW and goes against YOUR RIGHTS and DIGNITY. If you are real and not playning around, STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO CONSULT WITH A LEGAL ATTORNEY NOW!

If you want proof before you take it to his boss, catch him doing something unethical on tape. Most companies these days get really nervous about sexual harassment claims that they do everything they can to prevent them from happening again. Just make sure you document everything, keep a journal, if you go to his superior, document that. By doing this, you'll make sure that your job is secure and that the company could get in really big trouble for firing you or doing nothing.

That is really tough, but you need to at least tell HIM that one more touching and you blow the whistle. It might even be worthwhile to see a lawyer before doing anything else. The lawyer should be able to tell you what you can expect in the way of response from the company. If the boss is NOT the owner of the company, then I am sure the company does NOT want that going on. He represents them and they could be liable for his actions.
