She is jealous of you. Make sure she is involve with you both when you see her. She is a little girl and has delicate feelings, and maybe she is mean, but it's your job to be nice to her, to win her over, but you must also show firmness to her so she won't continue to her your feelings. Its a hard and delicate balance.

at certain age all girls become selfish and somehow mean. even your daughter will tell u that u are a bad mother. i can remember how many times i cried for having mean parents. now i understand.don't take it peronnally, she may needs u and don't know how to show it. jealous for taking her dad love. I think all u should do is to show interrest in her, not only making food or driving her school. bring her things young girl need to look beautiful, ask her about boys in her class, sit with her alone and talk about everything. she needs u a lot at this age.

I'm a single parent and in a relationship and my daughter is 10. Try not to take what she is doing personally. 10 yr old girls are difficult period. So with one of her parents in a relationship just adds fuel to her dramatic fire. Talk to your boyfriend and see if he will talk to her. Also if you show her that you won't be pushed around she will back of....... Guaranteed!!

Then stop trying to please her. Kids that age have more going on upstairs than alot of people give them credit for. She knows you are trying to gain her approval and acceptance by trying to "please her" and will likely use that to make you crazy. Nothing you do will be good enough. If you just stop running in circles for her and take back control things will be better for you. I'm not saying ignore her or anything like that....be kind to her...but no special treatment.
