Depovera shouldn't be used for more than 2 years, it causes bone loss. my wife was on it for 7 years and it took her a year and a half to get her period back and its still a hit or miss thing, and she has been told she won't be able to get pregnant now except by immaculate conception.

Do you mean what's the maximum amount of time you can use bc? As far as I know its unlimited, you don't need it after menopause but anytime until then you don't want to get pregnant you can use birth control.
