How can you improve it? Well, you can improve your reception by making sure your dish is aligned correctly. Check for any dinged or warped panels. Repair or replace any which are damaged. When was the last time you changed your LNB? If it is older than 5 years old, then you can most likely get one with much better specifications than what you have. LNB's are solid state now with no moving parts (polorotor) and really low noise figures like 15K. Replacing an old 50K LNB with one of these new ones acts like doubling your dish diameter! Do you only have C band? If your mesh holes are less than 1/4" in diameter, your dish is good for Ku band, too. Ku is trickier to align with a large dish so you might have to fine tune it, but it opens up many more channels to you. Check out this LNB. It's both C and Ku in one, and it has a built in switch between the two:

Only thing is, the Ku side is universal .... we'll get to that later, though.

Beyond this, there's not much you can do with your existing receiver. Let's face it, most of the analog stuff is going the way of the do-do bird. There's still a lot of feeds that are analog and in the clear but every day we see VCII+ subscription stuff go away to digital. You have three choices. Live with it, give it all up and go to the little dish or mini dish, or go DIGITAL! Personally, I'd prefer option 3. Get yourself a 4DTV box. There are so many more channels available. It will cover all the analog stuff, plus the new digicipher digital stuff. On top of that, you can slave a FTA box to it. These are quite cheap these days, some models selling for under $100. These boxes add DVB digital channels which are mostly unencrypted and free, for nothing a month, using your existing dish! Plus these receivers support DiseqC switching and universal LNB's like that dual band LNB I mentioned earlier. You take that big dish, pop that LNB on it, get a 4DTV receiver or even just an FTA receiver you'll have so many channels for cheap you won't believe it. Plus all the live sporting events and wildfeeds, it's crazy.

Check out Lyngsat for the channels available. The yellow stuff is in the clear. DVB is able to be received with an FTA receiver, and the Digicipher 2 requires a 4DTV receiver. http://www.lyngsat.com
Bottom line is, if you invest a couple hundred bucks into updating your system, you won't regret it. Go search eBay for some good deals.

i like it yet particular lines flowed so poorly they detracted from the study. no longer something incorrect content cloth or notice clever, merely those lines desire rhythm surgical treatment: "discovered it crammed with many negative aspects Felt wolves's eyes in deep woods" "i discovered a slender direction to stick to" "i attempted to make my way in peace" i do no longer very like the final line the two. style of anticlimactic.
