Because it tends to degenerate into the cheap shot. And it's laughing at people, their weaknesses etc.--the sarcastic person is saying they think they're superior to their target, so they can be as hurtful as they like. It shows a deep inferiority complex or smouldering resentment.

Well sarcasm is considered to be the lowest form of humour because It's rude and impoliteness disguised with humourous appeal. The intention when oneis being sarcastic is to state the obvious or to politely make a rude remark or comment.. So in all it's not really humour..

sarcasm is the best form of humor if done right.it's considered the lowest form because most don't understand it.

For some weird reason most people don't find it very funny or amusing.And there are alot of people that totally don't get sarcasm so they don't even realize ya trying to be funny.

After all the person making the statement does all the work.
