Then why is he in bed with the Saudis?

I mean, out of all of the middle east countries, Saudi Arabia must be the most terrorist supportive, most theocratic and most radical. There are so many proofs that the Saudis support terrorism (even insurgents in Iraq) that I don't even know where to start.

SO, if Bush/GOP are going to make the statement "We don't negotiate with our enemies and terrorist supporters", then why is he traveling to Saudi Arabia ever few months, holding hands with the Saudi King, inviting his ambassadors to his ranch, etc..?

He's so reluctant to even SPEAK to Syria, Iran, & Lebanon yet he's allying with himself with the Saudi King as if he actually meant good to the United States.

And here are the questions more specifically.

1: Why is he allied to the Saudis a government that supports terrorism but he refuses to even SPEAK to other middle east nations?
2: Why don't republicans openly condemn him for it?
3. Is Bush a hypocrite for doing this?

"THE SAUDIS HAVE NOT THREATENED TO KILL US."

But they TRY to kill Americans by supporting Al-Qaeda and friends. What more do you need? What's more important? Words or actions? The Saudis can say whatever they want but their actions are purely malevolent.

"the Saudis have allowed us to stage in their country-so why would we condemn President Bush for not talking to Syria and Iran.thus,no,he is not a hypocrite."

I'm not condemning Bush for not talking to the Iranians or Syrians. All I'm saying is that he shouldn't be so two faced when it comes down to Iran the Saudis and terrorism. Their governments both support it one way or another but that doesn't mean that Bush should condemn one and let the other off. It's like saying "It's okay for the Saudis to support terrorism, but when you Iranians do it, it's wrong." Terrorism is terrorism and I don't think that either nation should get off for supporting it.

I wish some of you would look at the links I put up.

Seems like I've struck a nerve with this question. 2 negative ratings but no good answers.

I didn't follow your links, but I'll give my opinion. It's all about money. Bin Laden is a Saudi, by the way, as were almost all of the 9/11 hijackers. Money and oil.

I think he want talk to Iran because they want stop their Nuclear processing, Syria I think he says they harbor terrorist. Saudi Arabia, Bush is related to them in someway. They have that Embassy right across the street from the Pentagon. His dad and him both like them Saudi Arabia Ben Laden brother is one of Bush's close friends so I understand related distant relatives. They paid GW out of debt with his oil company. He likes them he brings them to Crawford and holds hands with them while they walk. The last visit I seen him taking them all over his ranch all piled up in the Pick Up truck of his. He is a total hypocrite because they own a Oil Company here and he likes them so does his Daddy. Be Laden's brother was at that Embassy across from the Pentagon when it was bombed. Yes he loves them.

Very good question. I don't understand why this isn't a bigger issue. This question is on my watch list so I can check up on the responses.

Edit: don't you people see the quote "We don't negotiate with our enemies and terrorist supporters". Then he gives clear evidence as to why Saudi Arabia DOES support terrorists, and evidence which shows Bush DOES negotiate with them. Thus, you either agree that he is a hypocrite, or you are refuting the quote or the evidence that Saudi Arabia supports terrorism. Its actually a simple point.

There is a lot of inductive reasoning that one must do in order to conclude the Saudis support terrorists. im not saying they don't, im just saying there is no downright path that goes, "we support terrerism." and Bush is just trying to save his hide from that very critical iraq study report right now. Bush has always been a hypocrite. once he said, "i have never said that osama bin Ladin is not a threat to our country." and "frankly, i don't think Osama Bin Laden is a threat to our country."
