I, would you believe, have tested this. It took me roughly a thousand normal sized licks. That's a normal sized toosie roll pop, not those little mini ones, those only took 50 normal sized licks. Which, I guess, were giant sized in comparison to the mini tootsie roll pop.

It took me 247 to get to the center of a grape tootsie roll pop back in 1978 . . . when I was still young enough to have the kind of time it takes to sit there and count the licks!

1. Amount of saliva produced from your salivary glands.
2. Width and thickness of your tongue.
3. Inside room temperature.
4. Outside temperature and barometric pressure
5. Color and flavor of the tootsie pop.
6. Your state of mind (whether you are focused on the the challenge at hand or can be easily distracted).
7. You sex, male or female.
8. Whether you are a republican or democrat.
9. Type of eating style you have.
10.Type of music you listen to.
