Why do people deny what really happened about the holocaust? Its just stupid, as someone told me, would you kill hundred of people and deny doing it? They know perfectly well that they did it, and its just plain stupid because they deny what happens.

I want to know what you think, because in some places..it is illegal to deny that the holocaust really happened. =) And tell me why or why not you think about the holocaust.

Of course it was a real event. It is estimated that 10 million people were killed by the Nazis, of which at least 6 million were jews.

However the way to fight the deniers is by burying them in the evidence, not by prosecuting them. Free speech is our bastion against Fascism.

The holocaust absolutely happened! I can't believe the lengths some people will go to deny the obvious. Most people who deny the holocaust occurred also have a hatred of the Jews. You really can't pay a bit of attention to the conspiracy theories out there. It will drive you crazy. Especially those that stem from hatred or fear.

Yes, it is a real event. I have visited the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC, and if you have the opportunity, it is something that sends chills deep inside of you and really makes you face man's inhumanity to man. I was at a Sam's Club once buying a book about it, minding my own business, when the woman behind me said, "I can't believe you are buying that propaganda-it never happened." I said, "Well, with all due respect, ma'am, were you there? I bet you also taught your children about Santa and then told them not to lie, right?" The people in line behind me began to clap. What do I think about it? It was an event that killed many Jews, Zionists, Gypsies, Jehovah's Witnesses (who were the only ones who could leave IF they renounced their religion) and homosexuals. All human lives are equal and it was an atrocity and blight on the history of mankind.

I believe it happened. There are several people still alive in my family who witnessed it ( American soldiers-not Jews). Film footage from the war archives are undeniably clear. There is no doubt it happened. The problem we face is-'what can we do about those who deny it today-for whatever reason'?

My uncle's wife...her parents and her aunt were Auschwitz survivors. I saw pictures of her mother and aunt. They looked like they were in their late 70's-early 80's but they were only in their 40's when the picture was taken. The holocaust and the concentration camps did horrifying things and you could see the effects it had on the survivors. There is no doubt in my mind that it happened.

i know for a fact it happened because years ago there was a man i knew that was in Auschwitz and he showed me the tattoo that was on his arm and it was a number and he didn't want to talk about what they did to him but he was the right age and you could see that when he showed me his arm he started to break up and you cant fake something like that when someone is pouring their heart out to you you know its real.you could feel deep within your soul that he was telling the truth and why in the heck would some man about 70 years old make up something that he did not even want to talk about

Oh it absolutely happened. It was terrible. Watch Schlinders List sometime. It's an eyeopener. I probably didn't spell that right but it's a real moving movie.
