Well, you can be polite and let the little ones have their gifts first, and then the grandparents can open theirs. But why not everyone just be given what is for them and after the count of 5, everyone tears the paper open at the same time to see what they got. Lots of noise and laughter.

For me, I let the YOUNGEST person in the home open the first Christmas Gift -- then it was one gift opening for EACH person in the home ....

Hi, well we all used to open our presents when we got down the children did anyways, Mum and Dad used to open theres last as we wanted to give them ours by our selves. I dont think its fair to let only one person open theres first before the rest. But everyone has there own ways i guess. I dont think there is a way you have to open your presents just as long as you are all happy and are opening the as a family i guess

In my house we just choose the person who wants to go first. If it was up to me, we would all open them at the same time. Its quicker and depending on what it is, we can play with it. But im either the second or first person.

The kids always...I always like to watch everyone else open their gifts...usually I am the one holding the camera...

No seriously I let my daughter age 8 open hers first then my husband watches my face light up when I open mine..He usualy opens his last...

We usually give out one present to each of the kids and let them all open them at once so there's no jealousy or fighting. It works really well.
