by busy I mean really, really busy ... working long hard hours (avg ~10+hrs/day) in an important and very demanding position .. top that off with a long commute (~2hr each way!) ... and the day shrinks very quickly ...

an lest you get the wrong idea ---

I'm proud of her
I love her
She loves me

And we'd both love to escape to a private island and spend the rest of our lives just living and loving!

Hey baby, am sure you know.. there's nothing in this world I would rather do than spend every moment of my time just loving you, but..

There are obligations to fulfill, too many tasks to do, endless meetings, deadlines to meet, etc. etc.. and yes, most of the time, they get in the way of you and me spending time.. however, you should know.. if I had my way.. I'd turn my back from it all and come running to you.. in a heartbeat baby.. yes, in a hearbeat..

I am the significant other that has to be scheduled around and it's not fun for us either. I miss my girlfriend loads and don't get time to see her as much as i would like. I'm trying to buy a house for us to live together so that we can see each other more often but i'm on call loads If i really want to spend time with her i have to book the day off!!! At the minute i can work up to 60 hours a week but i also have to do work at home.

Anyway, to the point. When we do spend time together i make sure i give her loads of attention and i try to do something with her rather than sitting around at home. It's not much of a consolation but i try to make up for the amount of time we don't see each other!

schedule that appointment, reserve the time and enjoy. We live together and sometimes only see each passing moments and then the arguments increase until we book a special time together and arrange a babysitter and switch off the phones and have a jolly good..... natter!

yes these last few months i have hardly seen him, and when i do get too see him he is too tired to want to do anything. At one point started thinking maybe he was doing it to avoid being around me. I have asked if maybe i can schedule some time with him next year, he just laughed thinking i was joking but actually i was deadly serious.

Sometimes. But, even when we do set a specific time and date to do something just the two of us, something happens and we have to re-schedule. I guess that's what happens when you both live in separate house and are both store managers.

If you are busy then scheduling time may be the only answer, as long as you both stick to it.

Book a holiday!!!!

Never, he schedules his own stuff around my plans. I would be worried if I had to make an appointment. Very worried.

Sometimes it works out that way, but we always find time somehow for each other.
