I am 2 months pregnant and am extremely tired. On my days off I wear my pajamas all day because any little activity gets me tired. I don't remember this lasting this long with my first pregnancy. Am I close to the end of the fatigue until later in the pregnancy?

I remember being VERY tired for...well...I still AM!

Heh, really though...it's normal to be easily exhausted during your first trimester--building a baby is a lot of work! Just remember every woman is different, so some will tell you the fatigue multiplies as the weeks go on, others will tell you they were fine w/ 8 hours a night. Enjoy the rest you get now, 'cause you won't get much in the first few months of baby's life!

Up your iron intake, drink water, and get as much rest as you feel you need! Also, if you feel you're WAY overdoing it on sleep, get an iron test from your OB to make sure you're not anemic.

Don't be discouraged by this but the entire pregnancy for my second baby! There were some days I was so tired I stayed in bed almost the entire day. Just plain didn't feel good. The last month or so got better. I don't remember being as tired with my first pregnancy, but then I was put on bed rest the last three months due to preterm labor due to extreme stress.

This is my second pregnancy & I felt the same way in the beginning....through the middle...to the end-now 35 weeks. I kept thinking, "I don't remember being this exhausted with my first pregnancy". Everyone kept saying I'd have more energy by the 2nd trimester. I never got my energy back, though. At 35 weeks, I'm still just as tired.

Each pregnancy is different, so it can last the whole time, or it may go away. There are things you can do to help though. Make sure you are taking your prenatals, also try eating more protein and carbs. I know, carbs are the enemy, but they are energy, and right now that's what you need. Rest when you need it. Sometimes if you aren't sleeping well at night, it can effect your fatigue also. You may want to talk to your doctor about it if nothing helps. Sometimes if you are enemic, it can cause you to be more fatigue then you should be.

I remember being very tired until about the beginning of the fourth month. Then I felt much better (at least tiredness and energy-wise) during the 2nd trimester.

Proud Mom,
That extremely tired feeling will pass after about 3 to 4 months. Hang in there and your going to be just fine.

I am 35 weeks pregnant and I was tired up until my 2nd trimester. It was almost like I got a second wind during my 2nd trimester and then the tiredness returned in my 3rd trimester.

I was very sleepy and tired until my 3rd month. After that it got better. Don't worry just get your rest now that you can because when that baby is born you will not sleep like that again. Good Luck!!!
