Telling them that would be a good start....tell him was ok, but not something you would get into every time. That way if it is something they need a lot they can let you know. Dialogue is always good.

Just be honest. Let that person know that while it is exciting, it is like an "extra special dessert, that you'd like to save for special occasions. If they aren't for it, then you need to find someone who WILL understand.
