Today, there was a discussion with co-workers concerning racism and how it plagues American history. Although I completely disagree, one suggested that artist such as Spike Lee and other radical black nationalist, perpetuated racism rather than created a solution. With such a complex issue, how does one maintain self identification without perpetuating racism and how do we combat this plaguing issue in our society?

Your first problem is that you "self identify" with your race before you identify as human. As long as your prioritize your identity, then ending racism without ending race will not happen. There is no positive without negative, and this aptly applies to "self identification by race".
If you can't see benefits of blending the races, and you are in support of desegregation, then I feel as if you don't live in the same society that I do.

curiously so, purely seem at affirmitive action. How lots greater of a hand out do some human beings choose. Now that is not bearing directly to the terrific qualified guy or woman getting the interest, that is: we could see what proportion blacks, women folk, hispanics and different minorities we've working for us in proportion to the variety of white workers. I additionally hate the double properly-known that announces that is okay to be pleased with your race, yet while your white, oops you could be a prolonged relatives member. I additionally hate the way some interior the African American community choose responsible White u.s. for all thier issues. What they don't understand is they are thier very own worst enemy. Blacks do not choose different blacks to suceed, because of the fact in the event that they do they accuse them of being sell outs, and someway that's the fault of White u.s.? provide me a injury. yet, that's purely my opinion!

I don't think it's possible to end racism without ending race because it is just another excuse for ppl to compare and think that they are better than others. If race ended, they would just find another way of discrimination to make themselves in a higher level.

Well, I think people should just accepted people for who they are. Just because of your race doesn't make you superior. Your actions make you superior. People should just try to get along with each other. They should focus on people actions not their race. I mean, we are all equal but many people choose to not to listen, when really they are the low ones. It won't stop until people start treating each other fairly despite differences. That's why I pray for those who think they are high and mighty. Because they are just digging a hole deeper for them to fall into.

If we focus on our commonalities rather than our differences, I think we can better combat any racist tendencies.
