"Our welth"??? Obviously, it isn't our intelligence...
It USED to be the fact that we were a moral country. Now, we have pretty much thrown our morals out the window, which is why the rest of the world hates us. We are still the greatest country in the world, simply because we are more educated and, yes, wealthy; but that is fading fast.

I think the devirsity makes America a great country. There is the land and the mountians and the Mississippi River. The people are also so intresting not just by the difrence of there ethnicity but also there image because some people are preppy, some gansta, some are girly, some sporty, some emo, and some goth, but we can all life in the same place even if were not alike. The pop culter is also very intresting to me because there can be some music from rap artists to county and t.v shows very to my favorite being Gilmore girls, Degrassi, and America's next top model, but somone else could injoy pimp my ride or scobby doe and you can find all that on basic cable. So the devirsity of America to me makes it great.

The meaning of "great" should be be qualified. Some of the possible answers include: We are a rich country. We are powerful militarily. We are a global influence of democracy and freedom. We are a country of artistic and expressionistic freedom. There are many fun things to do, and exciting places to visit, in America. We, as a nation, have created a better system to live in than any other nation, as evidenced by our financial and social achievements. Evidence? We have to limit the number of people who enter, as opposed to forcing people to remain here.

America is not a country is a CONTINENT.....I just think that is a little mean to leave the other countries behind knowing that they are also in the American Continent........But to answer your question is one of the best countries you can live in....the people, the variety of foods, the things you can do, the places to go it's like having a little piece of a lot of countries in one.

America is great because we laid out fundamental principles of liberty, equality and justice for all citizens, and despite the occasional setback (such as the current presidential administration) we constantly strive to uphold those principles.
Of *course* that sometimes results in conflict. Of *course* it can be difficult -- having true freedom and liberty sometimes means allowing others to do things you don't like. That's the cost of liberty.
Despite our failings, it's our strong DESIRE to uphold those principles that makes us a great nation.

The original ideals that were lost LONG ago. When we turned our back on new-coming immigrants, we lost sight of the true life-blood of America.
Nowadays, we have fame and fortune. Decadent homes and beyond-our-means cars. Over-pushed credit limits and low tax rates. Milk and honey.
