1. Run your computers diskcleanup utility everyonce in a while will keep it running efficiently: Start>programs>accessories>system tools>disk cleanup, 1A. or get handy dandy program called Crap Cleaner (search google) which will remove all uneccasary files for you.
2. go to http://www.crucial.com and fill out the indicated fields to see what kind and what amount you need. Some of the older computers can only take a maximum of 1GB of ram and the newer ones can take up to and not including 4GB of ram. you just have to check and see.

You first have to see what type of ram you have, it has this info on the ram stick, and then if you have any slots open to add more ram. You can buy ram off ebay at a good price and it is very easy to install yourself.

First, you need to find out what type you are using. Sometimes you can find this by right clicking on your my computer icon and clicking properties. If it doesn't tell you there, you'll have to open up your computer and find out what it is by reading the label on the chip. You'll need to get that same type but a larger size and put it in your computer.

learn what kind of slot your pc has for ram and how many are left when you buy your ram make sure it is the right kind and when you put it in simply remove the cover of your pc locate the slots, put it in and your done
