I can't believe most of the answers here, people are extremely misinformed or ignorant. Well the first thing would be to find out what kind of car your talking about. Most often cars have whats called a kick down cable attached to the carburetor or throttle body that goes to the transmission, this is a simple adjustment. If you take your car to a transmission shop, most will adjust it for free in about 30 seconds.

My advise to you would be to have a diagnostic done on the car to determine if any codes show up concerning your transmission.

Your problem could be as simple as a solenoid, or as complicated as the torque converter. You might have a cracked valve body.

At any rate, stop by a transmission shop and have them check it out. It might not cost you an arm or a leg, but you might lose a finger tip or two.

in case you recommend the solenoid %., attempt changing the two gaskets first, then the completed solenoid %.. Or use a leak detector additive and particular lamp yo locate the place its leaking. The Transmission administration Module isn't hydraulic. in case you notice oil on it, it replaced into spilled on it. come across a transmission mechanic.
