Oh I loved the Chalet School!

It started in Austria, then moved to Guernsey, then "Arniford" (fictional town in Wales), then a fictional island in the Bristol Channel.

PS: Reading the list of titles in the link I just posted, I didn't realise there were so many books in the series!
