a surefire way to tell is how fast it transfers large files-otherwise, try plugging it in to the USB port on your keyboard. If it tells you that there is not sufficient power to run your accessory, then you have 2.0-if it loads with no trouble at all, then it's 1.1

There is no way to tell by looking at them (unless it's written on).
If you have a thumb drive you can compare the difference with or without the cable during a file transfer ...if significant then odds are it is a 1.1 cable.
