Depends on how much you want to spend. I have an 8 month old and any little toy that says 9 - 12 months on it is perfect. He especially likes blocks that can be stacked and he can knock down. My brother is getting him a BIG xmas gift of an upright carseat instead of the infant seat he has now. That's a huge help!

You have got to try a baby memory book from iMemoryBook. Basically you can put all the photos and stories of your baby that you want in it. When it is done (I created one in 45 minutes, or you could create it over a year) iMemoryBook will send you a custom hardbound copy of your baby memory book.

All I can say is that your baby is going to love that book when he/she is older.

an outfit or a learning toy. Robeez (little bootieshoes) are the best though-most moms seem to like them. If it is a girl, go for mary jane socks - you can get them at uncommongoods.com
