Any negative side effects over the years? And how do I know if my symptoms are related to the IUD or are caused by something else?

Nothing bad but maybe mild acne (better than the weight gain and moodiness caused by other birth control) Ohh yea another side effect I experienced was NO PERIOD. wouldn't consider it to be mad tho LOL
Its the most effective birth control out there more accurate than tubal ligation. HIGHLY recommend it for those with at least 1 child and in a monogamous relationship

I have Mirena IUD and have had a good experience with it so far. Consult your Dr if you are having issues. I guess the only way to tell for sure is have it taken out and if they go away then you know it was the IUD.

I had one for years and really liked having NO period, but I felt tired all the time. No one could say if it was the IUD but when I took it out I felt better!
