Jack The Ripper and The Yorkshire Ripper were both serial killers that preyed on prostitutes, so is the Suffolk one. His MO may be different, but he breathes the same air as his notoious predecessors.

He may not be copying them exactly, but I think there's no doubt he's been inspired by both Rippers and the media hysteria both cases generated.

There's a website (see below) saying that Peter Sutcliffe was not, in fact, the real Yorkshire Ripper and that the real one was never caught ...

prostitutes tend to be an easy target for 2 reasons...... mainly because they will get into the car of a complete stranger, which anyone with common sense can figure out is just downright dangerous..... and the other thing is that a few people think of prostitutes as being almost less worthy of life than other people. - please note, this is NOT my belief, i am just summarising what i've seen on tv programs about serial killers.... anyway, getting back to the question, no - i do not believe that a copycat killer is on the loose, he has not murdered his victims in the same way as jack the ripper or the yorkshire ripper, and as for his reasons on killing these women in the first place, well, it's either because he knows that they are the easiest targets out there, or he has a hatred of women for some reason...... or more probably, a combination of both things.

I believe this person is very likely to have a serious psychotic illness and therefore may not really be having what might be described as normal thought processes. On the other hand, maybe I just think that to distract myself from the idea that someone perfectly sane could be so violent.
This person must be caught very soon before more innocent women are killed. No one deserves to die in the way these women have.

Prostitutes have always been easy targets.
The problem facing the police at the moment is that there are so many major arteries to and from the Ipswich area.
For a start Felixstowe is just down the road, the A14 runs all the way back to the M1 the other way, lots of other routes.

as i live in ipswich would like to think that this guy is just an oppurtunist...random and not a copycat killer..and no before you ask am not a prostitute just a concerned citizin of this town..
