All babies are different I didn't give mine any babyfood. They went straight o table food and now i can get them to eat just about anything. At 8 months mine ate potatoes macaroni all vegetables cut up. No meat unless you chew it first. be very careful with hot dogs and lay of the salt an spices. spagetti cut up because they can choke on the noodles. applesauce pudding anything soft and loww in salt. Wait three days after you try each one to make sure she isn't allergic to anything and keep a list of the things you have tried and the dates so the doc figure out what she is allergic to if she has a reaction. If she does have a reaction it will usually come in a rash or fever maybe some vomiting just take her to the doctor and don't feed her anything else until you know for sure what caused it. I wouldn' worry though cause if there is no history of allergic reactions to food she more than likely won't have one either.

My first child liked the Jarred baby foods, my second didn't. You don't have to feed only jarred food. At this age, it is good to start introducing regular food to prevent pickiness. The sooner your baby starts trying a wider variety of foods, the less likely you are to have to deal with eating problems. Small pieces of soft fruit, soft small pieces of pasta, peas, carrots, banana, cheerios etc. Finger foods that are soft or become soft when it goes in the mouth. Next month you can also start giving small pieces of soft chicken, meat. You can give egg yolk next month, then the whole egg at 1 year. Anything you make at home can be chopped up very small if it is soft enough for the baby to eat. By next month you can give a lot of food that you already prepare for your family as long as it is mushed up or chopped up finely. At this age, babies are big on finger foods. Teething biscuits are also ok. At eight months old babies start to do the chewing motion. So giving foods with texture is okay. If you do give jarred, you can start to try stage 3 soon. Stage 1 and 2 are for babies up to 6-7 months old. And your baby is way past those stages. Just don't give anything that your baby needs a full set of teeth for such as hot dogs. But he/she is ready to start eating more grown up stuff.

jarred baby food is good. You could start experimenting with finger foods if you think they are chewing well. if all else fails your
pediatrician will give you their opinion

Baby cereal, and baby fruit, out of jars. If memory serves, you can start indroducing veggies too.
