I plan to do my senior on something dealing with meteorology. I had planned on doing it on the advancements in meteorology but it seems to broad and i probably need to have one thing to focus on. I have to have a portfolio, a board, a research paper and a product. Can someone help me to narrow down the topic?

How about something to do with hurricane tracking or
predicting the strength or estimated cost of damage?
Can you track the latest trends in recent years, in relation to the temperatures in the Gulf, and then relate to how much damage has been cost to coastal cities?
Are there devices that have used improved technology to predict the strength or direction of a storm?
