If it is a pink upside down triangle, it is the symbol the Nazi made Gays wear on their clothing like the yellow star of David is what the Jews were made to wear on their clothing. Having to wear one brought about a great deal of shame to the wearer. In recent years Gay Rights Activist have taken this symbol of shame and used it as a symbol of gay pride.

Okay. Gay men were killed in the Holocaust, just like Jews and other "undesirables." Prisoners in the concentration camps wore symbols on their uniforms. For gay men, it was the pink triangle.
In the 70s and 80s, gay men turned it upside down and wore it as a reminder--"Never again".
Now people put rainbow colors on it--it's just a combination of the two symbols.
