Because he was obsessed with Iraq from his first day in office. 9/11 just got in the way. Had 9/11 never happened we'd still be in Iraq sponsoring this horror of a war. Bush knew that intel was bad before he ever attacked Iraq. But, he was content to attack them regardless, because he was determined to finish what his Daddy should have finished back in the Gulf War. Of course he wouldn't give the UN the extra six weeks they asked for before attacking, what they would have found, or more to the point, what they WOULDN'T have found would have put a stop to what he intended to do. Even if Iraq had been doing what Bush claimed, it wasn't a crisis situation that couldn't have been put off for
a few weeks. Why not wait for what the UN asked so he could have proceeded with their endorsement? Because he knew he'd never get it.

What?!? Silly liberal. Bush acted on intelligence given to him by the CIA as well as other agencies. Bush did not make up or manipulate the intelligence. You have no proof. Have you seen the reports? Didn't think so. Don't believe everything you see on television or read in the paper.

Considering that all of our intel services agreed that he did. And that the intel services of foreign nations concurred. And that we had the 'yellow cake' letter that alter turned out to be a forgery produced by the French.

And the fact that we found and destroyed 500 chemical warheads in Iraq:

I would say that you need to take your political blinders off.
