I would guess the single card and later on you could add another.

Depends on what you're doing with them. SLI doesn't show much by way of a performance increase until you get to at least a 1600x1200 resolution, where it starts to show a notable lead over single card. However, going with the 7900GTX gives you more upgrade options down the road - if you need to, you can still just drop in that second card.

I'm don't know if it is any different with graphics processors, but with CPU's having two 1 GHz processors on a single motherboard (with a supporting OS) was notably faster than a single 2 GHz processor.

I say run two 7600GT's.

Depends what you want to do with your PC, however, it must be understood that the graphic power of spearate video cards does not combine to match a single more powerful card...regardless of how much ram the inferior cards have.

All said... I would go for the 7900GTX ... it's a killer card that will be sure to satisy.

HINT ... buy them from a retailer with a 30 day "no hassle" return policy so that you can test both configurations for yourself at no risk.
