Something happened to me when I was younger (less than 6) that I can't remember everything about, but when certain things happen to me that are similar to past events, I act as I think I did then.

I don't think you are in the situation to be exposed to the same things you were when you had less than 6 years.(If you want a conclusive answer please be more explicit when you ask a question plus i wouldn't call a memory you forgot as being blocked)

well, you could visit a psychiatrist. if the memories were traumatic/ had a huge impact on your life but you still forgot them, then you should definitely go see one.

if you don't want to do that, then the only other way for you to remember it would be for it to happen again. or something so similar that your brain thinks it is happening again.

you could always look at old pictures and try to remember what you did before and after each picture. if you kept your old stuff from kindergarten and first grade, look at those to see if it revives your memory. you could talk to longtime friends and see if they remember. you could even talk to a familiy member! once you know what was happening to you around that time, you may be able to remember what happened to you.

i hope this helps.

You can talk about it in therapy, but please know that a lot of people think that "recovered" memories are false and didn't really happen. But therapy should help in any case.

You should have never blocked them out. If you had coped with your issues then, you would remember your experiences and would have learned from them, which in turn, would have made you stronger. Don't try and force them back out, it could cause more damage, let it run its course.
