Females will get quite fat before they give birth. The exact dimesion depends on the size of the mother, the mother herself and how many fry she is carrying.
She will have 10-80 fry. You can use a breeding net if you know when she is about to have the fry (she will start swimming eradically up and down the side of the tank) but I prefer just to catch the babies with a fish net when I see them. Make sure to provide lots of plants for the babies to hide in.

they usually have around fifteen-ish. at least, that's how many mine usually have. they do get pretty big when they're pregnant, and when the babies are almost ready to be born you can see little black dots (if the momma fish is light colored) showing through her skin. these are the babies eyes. when they are born be careful if you have a filtering system because they are really small and could get sucked through. oh, and the adult platys will try to eat the babies so u might need another tank.

their stomach gets fairly big. Make sure she stays happy. If she floats alot or lays on the bottom she may have constipation.

gosh , you men out there didnt studying about humans making babbies when you were in school ? maybe you can go to the books store and go check it see if you can find some books about how women do gave birth to new born babbies by reading it .

this type of fish can breed like rabbits,as soon as thay are older thay will start breeding and go on and on,
