I don't have an actual diary so this question is more difficult to answer. It wouldn't really bother me because the only reason i write things down is I can't store all that stuff in my noggin. I'm saving some room for funny stories and important knowledge so somes gotta down on paper. But I have nothing to hide so it doesn't bother me too much. But again asking is the best policy. Personally I wouldn't read the diary just because of moral and ethical reasons but thats just me.

I do have some sort of journal/notes but thats for work and when i go to court the lairs oops sorry pardon me the lawyers have access to it so it doesn't bother me... Its just used to refresh my memory on the details eh.

In most cases don't read it ask first. Unless you never want to talk to that person again...

If I had one,
- Start a fight with this person
-Feel sorry for this person's lack of "having a life"
-Smack them on the head with the diary

Truthfully, I would probably alienate them for a while. Obviously they're close enough to *get* to my diary, but lack both respect and privacy. And I like the "smack them" answer. That's what they deserve! They shouldn't allow themselves to get caught if they don't want to suffer the consequences!

I wouldn't do anything. I'd just put my diary somewhere else and lock it up.
