Juniors clothing uses odd numbered sizing. So, if you go to the juniors' section of JCPenney or Sears, the sizes will all be odd numbers. Misses clothing uses even numbers. A size 7 in juniors isn't right in between the size 6 and 8 for misses, however. If you have problems with the sizing at the store you shop at, you should try a different store. Different brands and stores size their clothing differently.

The reason for the odd sizes is because they're Juniors sizing. The reason they're not even is because Juniors clothing is not cut the same as misses. It's more tailored to younger girls or girls and women with an athletic figure. By that I mean they don't have much of a butt or hips, they're more straight up and down. And the reason for this is because this shape is more commonly seen in young girls age 13-18, their bodies aren't done developing so they don't really have hips. As they approach their 20's and 30's they develop hips (not just weight as mentioned above) and now they can fit in Misses clothing because they have more curves in the clothing, more of a sinched waist, etc. Also giving birth will give you bigger hips. My mom has an athletic figure and her hips were 35. After 3 kids she's now a 36. This isn't true of all girls though, some are more curvy to begin with because they're just made that way. Juniors goes up to size 13 and starts at 00. 00 and 0 are the only two even numbers for Juniors sizing.

Shop around at different stores and compare both the Juniors and Misses shapes. If you have an hourglass or pear/spoon shape then wear Misses. If you're a little more straight with a not so sinched waist then wear Juniors.

I never could shop in the Juniors department because I have a sinched waist with a spoon shape, been like that all my life so it's rather irritating when the only styles that will fit me well look like they're designed for a 40 year old woman.

There are sizes 7,9,ect. They are in the junior section. They run a little small though. So if you usually where a size 8 a 9 would fit best. You said you were a 10 try 11's. To be honest I grab three different sizes when I go into a dressing room...you never know. Gap makes you feel good about yourself...you might be a 6 there!! :)

38 back. B cup. often a woman with a 38 back would have a bigger rib cage. She does not inevitably would desire to be obese. i'm a 34 back and look at myself an conventional/narrow build. The cup length of B is on the smaller scale, and the bigger the back length the smaller that glass is. to illustrate- a woman who's a 34 B will look proportionately larger than a woman who's a 38 B. To get an excellent evaluation on the cup purely: once you pass up a back length, you come down a cup length, occasion 2) If somebody is wearing a 32 DD, the equivalent cup length in a 34 band could be a D. So confident, it incredibly is probable a small cup length. even though it incredibly is annoying to tell if the lady is obese. As i stated, she would desire to purely have a bigger rib cage.

Clothing sizes are not very standardized. So, while one brand's size 10 might fit you, another may not.
Odd sizes are not "in between" sizes, but are junior sizes (in most brands) and have a narrower fit for a less curvy body style. You may want to use a tool like www.sizecharter.com to enter your measurements and get recommendations for brands where the sizes best align to your personal measurements.

Different manufacturers have different ways of measuring. some of it deals with fabric, some use elastic, some I feel do not know what a size is,especially the ones who manufacture their clothes overseas. one size in Britain is another size here due to the use of the Metric system. I too have found mislabeled sizes(they say size 30 but they fit like 34 or 28)

Try Junior Sizes... they usually run like this:

00, 0, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13

Let's say you're a size nine and you have long legs. Then you would choose a 9L for 9 LONG or 9T for 9 TALL. If have short legs, then you would choose a 9S for SHORT. Average length legs are either labeled as R or nothing at all.

Good luck!

a size 10 that is too big for u in one shop, might fit u perfectly in another. sizes tend to differ from shop to shop, depending on what kind of cut that particular shop goes for. top shop and miss selfrige's are both well known for having small sizes, so a 10 from those places may well fit u.
