What is it gonna take for peaple to start giving the Lakers the credit they deserve? They all think the Lakers are not going to do anything, not because there not good, but because they hate Kobe. Rediculous!!! Leave your opinion if you want.

The Lakers are playing great ball so far this year, and Kobe has come back great after his injury. He's probably getting closer to being 100% back in game shape. Kobe is the greatest player in the NBA hands down, I don't see why so many people hate him?

They are good, and the key is for the role players to learn the triangle. Many people forget, or are too stupid/biased to realize that only Kobe and Luke really know how to execute the offense already. They are deep and have a good solid team, and NO Kobe doesn't "ball hog" like some people think. Meaning: sure he takes more of the shots and controls the ball, but why the hell wouldn't he? He's Kobe and can make them (as we have seen). What if Kobe passed more and Lamar put up 15 shots or more a game?? Kobe is a 2 position (SG) and his 5 assists 6 rebounds a game are at or beyond the average of SGs in the game.

It was a tough, tough loss. A couple of shots, fouls, rebounds the other way... not trying to stay relevant, just dealing with the anguish. That it was the Lakers and Kobe was the MVP just stings more. But they won and he won and there is no denying that the Lakers outplayed the Celtics in the final 18 minutes tonight. That's why they call it closing.

Kobe is probably the best player in the game and he now has a chance to prove he can make his team better and win without Shaq. If Shaq was in shape like he was supposed to be, then the Lakers wouldn't have gotten dominated by the Pistons. Ben Wallace made him look real old. No one can question Kobe's heart and desire to win.

people just think the lakers are a one- man team, which they were for a while after they traded shaq. kobe's a great player but it takes more then one great scorer to do well in the west. fortunately for them lamar odom decided to finally give what's called "effort" and he's kicking buttocks so the lakers are doing well.

Amen to that. But in a way its not so bad that people hate, people only hate you when your the best, when they dont care about you anymore thats when you know your slippin. A couple more seasons and the lakers wll be championship contenders.

I do not like the lakers, but I will give credit that they are a helluva team.

Shaq was their best guy tho, and they were hurt when he left.
