It was the worst because it wasn't so much a concentration camp as it was an extermination camp. More people were gasses and incinerated here than anywhere else. Another thing was the way they conducted themselves. They knew that what their purpose was to try and help cover up the fact that the whole genocide attempt ever happened. They were trying to erase the Jews and others from history alltogether. In addition, they made prisoners, from the same groups as the ones being exterminated, do a large portion of the work. They were trying to destroy the minds of individuals, passing the guilt onto the very people they were destroying. Along with all this, horrible experiments were being performed on human beings. Really sick stuff.

There was a movie called "Return To Auschwitz" that was made in 1979. Good movie. It is about a woman who returns to Auschwitz with her son recounting her experience. Anne Frank :-) - This might not be to your taste but gives a REALLY good picture as to what was happening and what life was like during the war. The Piano Man ( A REALLY Good movie, it is about this man who hides under rubble to avoid getting caught my Nazi soilders. . It is amazing ! and totally realistic about what happened in those days. Auschwitz: The Nazis and the 'Final Solution': The history of the Final Solution phase of the Nazi Holocaust, particularly with the most famous of the death camps. Schindlers List: One of the best world war 2 films I have ever seen. It is about these jews who get sent to work in Schindlers factory and Schindler doesnt realise what the Jews are going through so he pays the concentration camp for as many Jews as possible ............. Boy in the striped pyjamas: Reaallly sad about a Jewish boy in Auschwitz and a German boy who is the son of a German commander, and who is staying in a house near there. They become best friends and talk thorugh the wall.

In simplest terms, it resulted in the most deaths. The exact number isn't known, but of the 6 million people exterminated in concentration camps, somewhere between 2 and 3 million were killed in Auschwitz.
It was also the largest camp. It was one of three main camps in the effort to exterminate Jews and other undesirables.

Auschwitz was the largest and could hold the most people. It had the most gas chambers and ovens to kill people in. Also the Nazi's had "Doctors" come in and experiment on jews for "medical purposes". Other places like Birkenau and Dachau were equally as terrible but they didnt have the shear size of Auschwitz.

One of the things that made Auschwitz so terrible was the presence of Dr. Josef Mengele who performed terrible experiments on prisoners. I did a research paper on him a few years ago for a Literature of the Oppressed class- the things he did to people on a daily basis are not things I would wish on my worst enemy. Mengele was only there for 21 months but it was long enough for him to earn the title Doctor Death.

That Lady knows her stuff. For me, there are no "accurate" movies regarding Nazi concentration camps because you would need hundreds of starving, emaciated extras to make the film. In "Band of Brothers" they were able to find a handful of Caucasian people who were that malnourished.

6 million jews were killed in the holocaust. there was at least another 6 million non-jews who were also killed. this number includes slavs, homosexuals, intellectuals, gypsies, and other "untermenshcen"

i don't know that auschwitz was the worst. but if it was, it was probably because the decor and the food was pretty atrocious, but in all fairness the efficiency of the staff was excellent.

They were all horrible.

Auschwitz singlehandledly murdered the most individuals, however, Poles, Jews, intellectuals, artists, homosexuals.

May all of those involved in the decisions to build, maintain, operate, and participate in these camps burn in hell.
