Reality Check 101: Generally speaking, things are BETTER than they've ever been in the history of the world. If you disagree with this then either you're clinically depressed, in denial, or are so wrapped up in your own viewpoint that you refuse to let reality intrude.

Assuming this is so, why do so many left-wingers spend so much time crying and whining instead of going out and WORKING on the problems they see - are they lazy or what? I'd really like to know. I mean, there are PLENTY of problems to be worked.

Wouldn't it be more effective to actually DO something instead of complaining all the time - most especially about things and situations over which they have no control whatsoever. I mean, a lot of the kvetching seems more indicative of personal problems than it does of any real interest in making a difference.

Left-wingers - help us out here and explain this to us if you can.

I also agree with you 100%!

I am curious' "Curious"....I am a Christian and I in no way pray for the destruction of the world every night...I pray for the soul of non-believers (like you) every night for when the Lord does come again. How is that being pessimistic? I believe in God, I believe that we live in the greatest place on earth and I believe that good will prevail.

Left-wingers are generally control freaks who need to be right for the sake of being right....not for the sake of what needs to be done.

First, how are you defining "BETTER",? What "things" are "Better"? As it stands, your question is a vague and specious claim. For me to disagree with your statement, I first must understand it, and I don't because it is too broad for any reasonable person to answer.
Second, your question is hypocritical as you yourself state "there are PLENTY of problems to be worked." If things are so good, why are there plenty of problems?
Third, your hypocrisy continues as your question is a "kvetch" in itself. You are obviously frustrated with "left-wingers", over which, by the way, you have "no control of whatsoever." So, the real question is - what are you doing to address what you see as the problems of the world? Calling other people names and insinuating mental problems does not appear to me to be a solution to anything. Perhaps a good look in the mirror would explain a great deal for you.

You incredibly discovered grumpy human beings in Louisiana? The land of Bourbon and Creole cooking? those are the happiest human beings on the earth. As for individuals being nicer on the left, I dare say you have not got in mind the diverse issues that are stated by using left wing pundits and newshounds. The left and the right have beneficial human beings, they simply disagree with how in contact the government must be in our conventional lives. self sustaining

The "left-wingers" that I know are actually very positive people, who do a lot for others. I also know many "left-wingers" who work very hard to change things.

I think that there are complainers who sit on their butt in every spectrum of the bird.... so to speak.

Couple things wrong here:

I can't quite get what your problem is. Are you saying left-wingers complain too much, as your question suggests? Because you admit there are plenty of problems, so that would justify their complaining. Or are you saying they don't do anything to fix those problems? Then you tell them to "DO something" about the "situations over which they have no control". By definition, you can't do something about something you have no control over. This is really confusing.

To explain it would mean that I would - at some level agree with you - which I do not. I'm Left of center... not a fanatic on either extreme.

Things are NOT better now then ever. I would like to see your data that shows how 'things' are better now. Financially? Medically? Socially?

I do not 'whine', I quietly act to make the world a little bit better. One of the fundamental precepts of America is freedom of discussion. If it's whining, then that should stop. If it is discussion in an open conversation of facts, then that's healthy.

For them, the world ends whenever there is a Republican in the White House. It is reborn when a Dem wins.

Leftys make me seriously depressed. Thats how they'll get to us in the end. We will have killed our selves or moved out of the states.

Most Christians are right-wingers.

According to them, the world will perish in flames, and all who don't believe in their god will burn in hell for all eternity. These people also look forward to the planet's destruction with great anxiousness. They pray for it nightly.

If that's not pessimistic, I don't know what is.
