Got to the court, look up by the persons name, get the case number, ask the clerk of court to review the case file - it is public information - they cannot lock someone up and then deny case file information. Most courts have a computer terminal for looking up names and case numbers. All charges against him/her will be listed in the case file.
Also, most states have court web sites now where you can look up case numbers by name and civil or criminal case, but they are not usually up to date for several weeks or months. If its very recent, go to the court house and look it up yourself.
