I'm not at all anti american but I've been looking at alot of articles today to do with the war in Iraq and Terrorism.
The Ira is a terrorist organisation that was funded largely by the US. If the US was found to be funding Al Qaeda what would people say about that?

i believe the USA not only funded Al Qaeda but helped to start it so they could fight the Russians in Afghanistan. According to Michael Moore Bin Laden's family with the Saudis helped finance George Bush's early business ventures.

world governments(particularly US and British) have been carrying out not just funding terrorist attacks around the globe for decades. There is lots of public information to show this available on the net now, you can find all of this very easily with a little research. Even your propaganda publisher(mainstrem media) has reporteded lots of this, but the public blindly doesn't see it.

Look at the two SS officers last year who were "rescued" by british army forces when they bulldosed into an Iraqi Police HQ to free the two "prisoners". What they brushed over was the fact that these two British special forces soldiers were caught in Iraqi civilian clothing firing on an Iraqi security forces check point and had a truck full of explosives. They were carrying out the terror attacks themselves. This is a f**king disgrace.

We had a recent inquiry here in Ireland (30 years too late) which has shown British govt. and military collusion( financing, planning and building the bombs) with a loyalist terrorist group (they planted them) in the Dublin-Monaghan bombings in the '70s which killed 36 civilians.

And although US citizens (most of them anyway) don't like to admit it, there govt. killed 3,000 of their countrymen in 9/11. And I'm sorry but a 10 year old child with more than 3 brain cells could pull the official story to pieces in about five minutes. Slamming me for saying it will not change the fact that it happened. Go look at the evidence as it is and not as how your media presents it.

E.G:at least 5 of the so called highjackers are alive and have been interviewed on a BBC documentary. The FBI says it has all the names as Atta left a bag in the boot of his car at the airport with plans of the attack and the names of all involved. If several of these men are alive (which its proven they are), then who made this list the FBI say they have.. And this is barely the tip of the iceberg..

free to be, so be free..

The USA is funding al-Qaeda, just not how you think of it.

The government may not be sending them money or supplies, but the American people are paying large amounts of high priced oil from mid-east countries that are sponsoring al-Qaeda at some level or another. Some of those dollars we spend on oil eventually fund al-Qaeda.

This is only more of a reason we need energy independence. Unfortunately, the Democrat Party is single handedly stopping every attempt to expand domestic oil production. How are we supposed to reduce our oil imports if we can't produce any more at home? I know, energy conservation. Here's an idea - let's do both. Conserve and expand production!

While it is true that there were Irish Americans who collected money for Catholic charities in Northern Ireland without condoning the IRA at all. There were also Irish Americans who, while claiming to be "aiding the families of political prisoners," were in fact helping to arm IRA terrorists. Throughout the 1970s, until Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher asked President Ronald Reagan to stop them, they were the IRA's primary source of funding. The truth is there were many charities found to be funneling money to Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups in the US. It never became a priority to stop this flow of money until after the 911 debacle. As always as a country we tend to turn a deaf ear or blind eye to problems until the media raises them to our attention and we react. When we do identify a charity is diverting money to any terrorist organization we now obtain a search warrant confiscate evidence and attempt to prosecute those indivuals in charge for aiding and supporting a terrorist organization. I don't believe those laws were available before the Homeland Security Act enacted after 911 though.

Al Qaeda is an American creation - it's not really a group, but an idea that people fight for.

The US are the biggest terrorist financer in the world. Right now, they're financing the MEK / MKO who exist in Iraq and perform terrorist attacks in Iran.

Bush needs to keep the "war on terror" alive, because he has no other platform whatsoever to stand on. That, in my opinion, is the single reason Osama Bin Laden hasn't been captured; he's significantly more valuable to Bush that way.

His house of cards began to collapse November 7. The midterms elections, more than anything, were a message to Bush : EFF YOU.

A lot of damage has been done to and by the United States the last six years, courtesy of the current administration. It could take decades to repair it.

I have do idea why Bush will not get out we are already in the hole 3 trillion dollers. We need a woman in office because we will not be in that much dept. Or we need a demacrate in office for the same reason. At least when Clinton was in office we were almost out of dept I think we should just kick out all the illigal immeragrents and pull out of Iraq and let them fight it aut, if the all kill themselves that is not problem.

The Irish Republican Army is funded by private citizens in the US, they have never recieved funds from the US government. The IRA is striving to overcome opressive rule. Not to impose an opressive rule, like Al Qaeda.

If the US was funding Al Qaeda, do you actually think we would be fighting against them?
