ok so check this... whenever I go out to the malls with my american friends... they always check out cute girls and say many comments.. you know.. kinda rude. But them when I went to the philippines, my pinoys friends over there barely look at cute girls and do not make any comments at all. I'm pinoy and I'm not the type of person to make any comments when I see something attractive. But when I'm with my friends from chicago.. GRABE NAMAN, ANG BASTOS SILA!! TALAGA. bakit? why are pinoy men such gentalmen?

I wouldn't just put this on American guys. I'm American, and go to the Philippines every year. I don't make rude comments to the pretty girls there. I think its more about the type of people you hang out with, and not the fact that they are American. I know Pinoys who will do the samething your American friends will do when seeing a pretty lady. Its all about upbringing and not a person's country of origin.

Maybe you're not yet very close with your Filipino friends so they wanted to be on their best behaviour when you were hanging out with them? I know for a fact that Filipino guys also look and comment on the girls they see, but mostly when with good friends. I wouldn't immediately ascribe your pinoy friends to be more gentlemanly than your American friends. I believe boys will be boys, wherever you are and wherever you came from.

bcoz pinoy guys were taught by their parents to respect women and not be rude to them. maybe when they're with their group and talk about girls then that's the only time they would comment on a girl they have seen.

because filipino men spend most of their time with their friends...they value their friends more than you can imagine it's like the pakikisama something like that hahaha ganyan talaga pag ibang bansa! expect something different! buti nalang na pinoy ka! hahaha respectful!

Because we were born and raised in a conservative and traditional way. We do appreciate attractive women but we are just keeping our mouth shut first. When you are with us and you are going to open that kind of topic, then we'll start talking too. But we dont do mean things though. We just talk about it for seconds and thats it.
