I'm totally in agreement with you. Each Lord of the Rings movie is over three hours long and they are really good. The Harry Potter people could have definitely added more.

when a new movie comes out I always love it but am also disappointed. The fact of the matter is the content in the books are far too detailed to put on the big screen. I think the editing should be done a little less liberally than it is done now. I was very disappointed in the goblet of fire for leaving everything out about the house elves. I thought that the sub-plot with winky and barty crouch jr was intriguing and should not have been left out. I am worried about the order of the phoenix and what they will edit this time.

I'll still be first in line on opening night!!!!!!!!!

The books have too much detail to try to put into a movie, we would all be sitting there for 6 hours. I understand what you mean though, there are pieces that are different. I like the books much better, you really need to read them to get the movies though.

well the movies r always exciting..but if they stick 2 the books then its gonna b a very very long movie..u know with the class scenes and detail up things..and movies like GoF u wont understand the plot and the part abt Barty Crouch.. but i would love it if they do it like that.. also if they do it like that then there is no point of the movie coz it wont have any difference.. im waiting 4 the fifth and sure u will enjoy it..

they've never been like the books.
if they followed the books they'd all be 5 hours long.
the films will always be second best to the books.
same goes for most adaptations eg Lord of the Rings

I DO!!!!!! I don't like when the movies deviate from how the writer of the book originally intended them to be!.
